​so.. DC universe Rebirth.. right.. I was really looking forward to reading this on.. I liked earth one batman vol. 1 also written by Geoff Johns.. The earth one stories actually got me into reading comics and the dc.. and I'm actually grateful I read the earth one volumes before I read this one.. I think if I started with this one I would've been overwhelmed and underwhelmed graphic wise. Maybe I'm just spoiled by the ones I've already read. First of all.. I still feel like the dc really relies on the reader to already know the characters. Which is disappointing for someone like me who doesn't know much about them.. It was confusing. And if this is a rebirth.. a new start.. then why not make it more acsessable for new readers? wasn't that the point of the whole idea? that's what I read somewhere. But this story only confused me.. none of the characters are explained.. or really have any debt to them. It's really a set-up for the new character story lines I guess.. which also makes sense.. Maybe I just expected to much from this to enjoy it... For people who are familiar with the characters and dc in general probably will enjoy this story a lot.. As for those who aren't so familiar with dc comics and are just getting started I think the story goes way to fast without really introducing the person we're seeing and watching. I will keep going though.. because earth one showed me how good and exciting the stories can be.. Do any of you have a suggestion about how to proceed? which comic is the best to read next? please keep in mind I'm totally new to this.. and only know a couple of the dc characters.
