Superman earth 1 vol 1

​So... this was actually my first superhero, dc comic, I've ever read. (yes... I did read some comics... like... the amoras saga... but it never really got me excited.. besides.. I'm from the Netherlands where comics are not easy to come by). With that said.. please keep that in mind... I really don't know anything about previous comics, so my comments are sometimes probably off by miles for those who really follow the dceu! (And I have so much respect for you guys!) I actually was very excited when I, for the very first time entered the comic book store (hidden somewhere in a back ally), and found this jewel. Earth one.. A man of steel for a new generation.. It took some adjusting but I got into the story pretty fast.. I did found the beginning a bit confusing with all the jobs he could possible get... It felt a bit rushed to me... because I didn't even really new who clark kent is.. I would've liked if that was established a bit better.. However for the rest of the book I actually liked the pace and the writing.. I was really impressed. It all ended to soon! Wish the story was longer. For the graphics.. well.., it was good, I enjoyed exploring the world in this way... Clark and superman looks cool. And I really enjoyed the moment he becomes superman and the way we see him becoming the Clark Kent, reporter of the daily planet... The facial changes and that his glasses are his mask.. funny! However the money-shot that James Olsen made.. It just.. I don't know how to explain but all of the sudden superman looks really different.. older.. weird. It threw me off.. all the other graphics are so beautiful.. why not this one? Overall I'm really glad I started with this book.. and can't wait to read the sequel.. Already read the synopsis and.. wauw! awesome! It really got me excited to really dive into the dc comics.. and I straight away ordered the dc universe rebirth to get me on my way. so.. the comic really did it's job... It made me want to know more! BTW.. the article at the end.. so cool and brilliant... beautiful writing.
